The CRF provides an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses and practitioners to develop the skills required to become specialist researchers.
Pedal pulse and Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) to assess peripheral artery disease
The CRF also enables the nursing team to achieve NMC revalidation and to extend their scope of practice whilst supporting a wide range of clinical research studies. All members of the team work within a variety of project areas, utilising their existing clinical skills or undertaking specialist training to meet project specific needs.

Further professional development opportunities include attendance at local and national conferences, including the UKCRF annual conference and the Diabetes UK annual conference. Staff are actively encouraged to submit abstracts and present research findings at these events.
Our team liaises with the wider community to raise awareness about the importance of health care research and identifies opportunities for public participation.
